Nolia builds each week fresh from the curricula you choose – hand-curated lessons in the right dose for your child's age, pace and way of learning. No planning Sundays. Ever.

Learn it together.

Every lesson gives you a guiding track – "You could say…", "You'll know it clicked when…", "If it's tricky…" – so you can lead confidently, even with no teaching background.

The paperwork writes itself.

Everything you record lands in the learning record. When reporting time comes around, you export a curriculum-mapped portfolio PDF or a drafted annual report – you make it yours, then send it in. Done.

Your family's data is not our business model.

Children's names and photos are field-encrypted (AES-256). Deleting really deletes – crypto-shredding, not archiving. And nothing about your child ever feeds analytics or ads. We built for Australia's Children's Online Privacy Code before it becomes binding, and to GDPR standards for Europe.

Our story

It started with homework we couldn't see.

Our family lives between two countries. Work moves us back and forth between Germany and Australia – and for a long time, school didn't move with us. We wanted one calm plan that carried both our worlds, with progress we could see and records any authority would accept. It didn't exist. So we started building it.

The name comes from curious. The little spark in our logo is the moment we built all of this for: when something clicks and a child looks up.

Questions families ask us

Do I need teaching experience?

No – and that's the point. Every lesson comes with a parent guide: what to say, what understanding looks like, what to try if it's tricky. You bring the time together; Nolia brings the structure.

And… socialisation?

The barbecue question – every home-ed family knows it. Learning at home doesn't mean learning alone. Co-ops, homeschool groups, sport, music, the library, the beach on a Tuesday. Nolia's job is to hand you the week back – so there's more time for people, not less. (And no, we won't park your child in front of a screen all day. Lessons are made for learning together.)

Is Nolia a curriculum or a planner?

Both halves of the job – on one international spine. Nolia plans your week with hand-curated lessons, and folds your national curriculum on top: ACARA (AU) and KMK (DE) today, US Common Core + NGSS next, more by family vote. You don't need to buy or map anything else for the subjects Nolia covers.

Can my child follow more than one curriculum – in different languages?

That is what Nolia is built for: every curriculum arrives in its own language, side by side in one week, each tagged with its flag – siblings can even learn in different languages. Today the Australian curriculum (ACARA) is live, in English. German (KMK) is folding now; join the waitlist and we will tell you the day it lands.

Could my child join an international school one day?

That's the idea behind Nolia's spine: it follows the approach used by international schools worldwide – inquiry, concepts, portfolios – so the way of working will feel familiar from day one. (Programmes such as the IB® Primary Years Programme inspired this approach; Nolia is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by the International Baccalaureate Organization.) We can't promise a school's admission decision – but we can promise the way of learning won't be foreign.

What if we go back to school one day?

Then Nolia hands you the paperwork for that conversation: a learning record any teacher can read, subject by subject, plus an annual report for the file. Re-entry becomes a step, not a leap.
